California billionaire Tom Steyer has pledged at least $25 million to a campaign aimed at getting millennials to vote for political candidates who care about climate and energy issues.

‚ÄúToday, over 80 percent of young voters prefer candidates who offer clean energy solutions, so they can turn their enthusiasm into real, tangible, political power,‚ÄĚ he told reporters. Steyer, along with his political advocacy group, NextGen Climate, will target at last 203 colleges and universities in battleground states like¬†Ohio, Nevada, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa and New Hampshire.
